Then if it comes down to it say you can’t treat it. Instead of making it clear you will possibly not treat a patient, why don’t you state the fact that you are not educated on the issue/treatment options and will have to take a moment to research it and will be right back. Yes you are the provider, but I the patient have hired you. It’s sad that her position of power has her forgetting that her patients is the reason she is able to pay her bills. I still would not see her again due to her attitude on the issue, not due to her lack of her awareness of the available treatments. EDIT: Ultimately Noemi did decide she would treat me. She was very unclear with what was going on but made it clear she is the provider and she can do wh atever it is she wants. Was scheduled with Noemi and she told me she didn’t feel comfortable dealing with my issue I had with my eye. I have been knowing a while now I need to find new care. It’s so hard to get an appointment here now and I have been waiting 45 minutes to see the doctor. This place has become difficult and frustrating to deal with the past two years. Patient of 4 years but sadly need to find a new a PCP.
